It was a long time ago, I bought Truespace 5.2 for $149. I was so happy, as I could easily and fastly create models. Then I started getting more into it, eventually to the point where I started animation. I made my first animation and was so happy that I got it to work.

And so the drama began. I quickly went to test the model's animations out to see if they'd work with DBP.

Unfortuantly, they didn't.

Now, after nearly months of battling, I've found a solution to get Truespace5's (ALSO TS4!!) animations to work in Dark Basic Professional(and probably classic to)

http://pages.prodigy.net/rwcordell/index.htm

This tool should be charished, and I'm definitly thanking the owner.

Enjoy!

Already have 1 burned copy.

I'm also gonna try to contact the owner to see if he'd be so kind to give me his working source.

I can almost smell a .cob to .dbo converter.

Coolness. Thanks for the post and good luck on the DBO project. That would be a most excellent tool for game developers.

Thanks all.

Finally got into modeling, and just finished this model after about 6 hours work. It has a skeleton, just needs some basic animations and a texture and it'll be ready to go. (I'm pretty excited because it actually deforms very well for 1000 polygon model.)

Enjoy

Here's a shot inside DBP running a successful animation.

Thanks CPU. Not sure what I'm gonna do with the model, whether to use it for a game or not.

Still no word from the author. Although I've spent most of the day messing around with the TS SDK. I'd really love to get a .cob->.dbo converter going. You have no idea how much that'd help me and other TS users.

Thanks Cyberflame.

The hairline will be tweaked once I get a proper texture.

Jump Animation(in DBP!)

Enjoy!
