Newcomers DBPro Corner / Black Screen

when i load a big 3ds scene into db pro it just frezes with a black screen. i got the same when i tried loading a bsp world.

system specs:
amd xp 2500
512mb of ram
geforce fx 5200 128mb

Can you reduce your model into more manageable chunks?

How many poly's is your model?

3ds support is currently broken in dbpro. Some 3ds files will load, others will cause a crash, some just don't load and some take ages to load. Try converting the model to .x or .dbo and see if it works then.

You are, I also trust, actually putting a sync command in your main loop if you've included the "sync on" command somewhere, yes?

you the .dbo file converter in program announcements the files are smaller programs run and load quicker.
