i'm using MS3D version 1.5.10 with the old .X exporter (the one for Db113 that works well with animations)

my questions are:

do i need to upgrade to the latest version?
will this require i do a full install or does it do a "safe" upgrade?
do i need the new 8.1 .X exporter for DBPro or will the old one work just fine? Whats the dif?

i just don't want to break it if it works just fine for me.
should i wait until the DB team creates thier own .X format and MS3D includes that as they did for Blitz?

any suggestions would be useful.

Hi there, not sure if it helps, but I've got MS 1.6.4, DBP (Patch 3) and exporting to .x (either JT's or the other one) work fine for me. I think the DX 8 exporters are included in the download. Having said that I've not tested exporting with animations yet..

Cheers

thanks. i'll let you know how animations work in DBPro.
i think the new export (8) permits mesh animation, but haven't tested that yet.
