I recently downloaded BMRT 2.6. It looks really good but I have a few questions:
1) Can you import .x and/or .3ds objects? If so then how?
2) How do you apply more than one shader?
3) How do you apply a texture rather than a shader?
4) Can you make a standalone file which is fully rendered or do you have to create the tiff images into a slideshow or animator like Draw Plus 7.0?
Thanks in advance.

Ok, I know of BMRT, but I've never used it. It is a ray tracing program that is used to make quality renderings. Those images can be saved and loaded into DB as spash pages and backgrounds. You might have to convert from TIF to some other image format such as BMP,PNG,JPG, or TGA. Unless BMRT has some export options in the menu, I don't think you will be able to use the models directly. You might have DXF export, but you will lose texture data if you export using that format.

You can load and apply textures in DB, shaders are a little more touch and go and so work and some don't. I don't use them so I can not offer any solid advice.

Does that help? If you need an .X or .3DS modeller, just search this section. There are a ton of posts that cover that topic.

Just trying to helpful. Since no one here uses BMRT, you need to talk to someone who gives a damn.
