I am curently working on a basic 2d fighter right now, and am having trouble with the animation of my sprites. I can get the animated sprite comand to work but run into trouble when it is time to change the sprite. Such as making the sprite run then punch. right now I been trying things like creating 2 animated sprites and deleting one and showing the other in its place, but Often the sprites animation gets completley messed up. I heard it is possible to manualy animate sprites. I belive this would be quite helpful. But how is it done, or is there a easy way to make numerus animated sprites work together. Currently I use about 20+ animated sprites per carecter.

The only way i know of doing it is to make some transition sprites. eg. when your running and you click a button to punch have a sprite moveing from the running position to the punching position.

I wonder where that fish did go, a fish, a fish, a fish, O
