Christopher Eccleston has landed the best job in television!

See the story at: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/3552087.stm

Ok everyone, hand around the jelly babies, floppy hats and very long scarves.

I hope they redesign the Daleks. I have some neat ideas for new shapes.

Terry Nation's Estate would not allow any significant tampering with the Daleks. Besides, the Daleks are great just the way they are.

Aside: long time Who fans will know that the Borg are basically a cheap Star Trek rip off of the Daleks. "Resistance is futile! You will be exterminated!" Sounds familiar? A tad close to Star Trek's "Resistance is futile! You will be assimilated!" perchance?
