Anyone care to explain why the symmetry stops at 10 ones squared?

beause decimal is base 10
if you do the same experiment with a hex calc it will be symetrical to 16 digits, giving you 123456789ABCDEF0FEDCBA987654321
and a octal calc will only goto 8 places
123456707654321

Any number of 1's times any number of 1's is a palendrome. Don't forget decimal places

1.11 * 111111
1111.11* 111.1
11111 * 11111111

The number of 1's does not have to match up on each side.

empty, right, decimal is symetrical to 9, oct to 7, and hex to 15.
I answered from math class memories 15 years old without checking a calc. But, the reason is still the same, whatever base you use it will go 1 less then the base because you need to be able to answer the middle digit needs a single numerical figure to repersent it.
