Yup, received the confirmation E-Mail tonight. I'm gonna download the thing over night (it's 1.1 gigs for cryin' out loud), then start playing in the morning.

I'm ecstatic; I think this'll look really good when I'm trying to get into the industry, to show that I have at least some experience in the field.

Anyone else been accepted?

a hour to download 1.1 gigs? what type of connection you got rogue? i have cable and on average download at like 176kb/s but it would still take me awhile to download 1.1gigs.

I have Cox Cable. I downloeded the CS cache from file planet (350ish Megs) in 10 minutes (.35 gigs)

No, it wouldn't take all night, it's just that I always find it easier to download huge files over night so my connection is available and not being hogged if I need to use it.

@RPGamer (Got my account activated early today)

The graphics are just as the screenshots show... though the controls for me atleast are a bit wierd to get use to (use to daoc swg, and horizons movement controls). I really like the fighting though... spells are just awsome .

3 hours and 56 minutes to go. Downloading at around 50 Kilos/sec. Will play some tonight mebbe...and tomorrow.

Wow, I can't believe you guys haven't been accepted yet. I think there's still a chance though.

I spent about half an hour on my application, and where they said "Tell us more about yourself" I basically wrote an essay on why I would be a great beta tester. Lol. As you see, this is important to me...

Mine was 2 paragraphs long. Plus I included experience of beta testing for Princton Tale. I have fast connect, provided good information, etc.

Just signed up and am downloading the game for the Lineage 2 Open Beta test.

Also signed up and got accepted for the FreeWorld alpha test.(A blitz3D mmorpg)

Right now I'm a happy man.

I was kinda hoping City of Heroes would also go into Open Beta testing(since Lineage and COH are both developed/published by NCsoft), yet you have to pre-order it to get in.

Oh well, guess I'll just download and beta test "Another Life". (Yup, another mmorpg to beta)
