i downloaded wordtris, but i cant see the grey boxes aroud the letters and the contros seem kinda dodgy . what the deal? i have winXP dx9.0b if that helps.

Hmmm I've never seen that problem before (I used XP to develop WordTris). You can try the other version if you'd like: http://www.automatongames.com/wordtris/WordTris-9x.zip ... just unzip the file and let me know if that solves anything

I know that's the Win 98 version but it also works fine in XP.

I have 2.66GHz P4 here at work, and wordtris barely works... it's most likely because of the crappy integrated display driver. there are lot of "text"/"print" commands going on in there...

las6 - Hmm I wonder if that could be a problem. I'm running on an AMD 1.5GHz here and it works fine, though. You're right about the text/print commands--- that saved me the work of creating individual letter block images If it would have been faster for people, I will convert over for version 2.0.
