how do i make my c/c++ apps run without the compiler? i use devc++

Hmmm - you compile then. If everything has compiled okay, an exe file will have been generated.

yeah but when i click that file it close start away and has has a the command promt logo without the c:\ how do i change it?

you want to change the prompt text - or do you mean that you dont want the program to exit ?

For the former, using the command line prompt command. For the latter, put in a command that waits a certain amount of time or until the user presses a key.

Just do what The Coding Area said:

You could use the following, if you are trying c++, remember to declare iostream.h



I would suggest in getting a book for C or C++, and looking at the net for some tutorials. There is tons, just search for them on google

very handy command




an example program (i also put it in the codebase on my site)


it will find all prime numbers between the range, if you can follow it then it may help you with c++ a bit
