Please help me. I have a sign that is textured and I need to put words on it. Can I do this with DBC or do I have to use a 3d object program?

You normally edit the sign's texture. If the sign changes words, then things get a bit trickier, but not impossible.

you could paint onto the texture with textual command words by making a bitmap and altering the signs texture data.
