How do you make Dark Basic open multiple windows?

From one program, you can't. From multiple copies of DarkBasic programs you could, though. Or you could make 'fake' windows, and just run the program fullscreen. (Upgrade pack v1.13 required for any windows whatsoever)

Alright, is there a way of making the main Dark Basic program open a sub program at the same time?
Whenever I try this it merely replaces whatever is in the current window with what is in the new program.

BadMonkey's got the best example for two 3d windows. If you want just 2d windows you can fake it by having sprites that you can click on and move around with the mouse. If you want to execute another program from a DB program you can use EXECUTE FILE, kind of inconsistent, though.

Hey!
But that just splits the screen!
I asked for something to open multiple windows.
I am making an animation/cut scene editor and want one window to tpe in and the other to show the result.

Nah, just make one big window, and paint a GUI (graphic user interface) You can even paint the "fake" windows if you want to

if your computer allows you to open more than one DB program at the same time, simply use:

1st program:

2nd program:

And that should work, although DB 1.13 is required...
