Hello, I want to create a simple game with internal levels. I've been reading the posts, and as I can see the only options are through .X and BSP; I kinda want to try this using .X and I've seen some people here recommending DeleD to do this. What I want to know is, are there any tutorials that involve both Dark Basic and DeleD?

What I'm looking for basically is a tutorial that shows how to import a level int DB code and how to walk around it (move the camera around that "world" and colide with walls, etc.) Most of the tutorials I've seen here walk around matrices, so I want to see how to do this with .x levels.

Thanks in advance!

A tutorial that shows how to import a level made in DeleD into DarkBasic would be very usefull for a lot of people here. I am very willing to place such tutorial available for download on the Delgine pages too. Feel free to contact me if interested!

Use the free 3D modeller DeleD to get skilled in 3d editing! Visit http://www.delgine.com for more info.

Yes I am very interested, I have already imported an example "world" included in DeleD (a church), but I still need a way to walk around it. I've checked the forums, and some people talk mostly about a DLL, unfortunately I'm a very broke student at the moment so I can't afford it (I know it's cheap.)

I just wished there was a tutorial that explained how to import .x levels and then walk around them. It surprises me that the DB creators haven't posted something like that, or anyone in the forums (as far as I know), because I believe a wide range of users are probably interested in developing FPS ala Half-Life, Quake, etc. There should be a way to do .x walking without having to pay even more than the DB package already. If you release the tutorial please let me know ! BTW The program is great for its simplicity.

Oh another thing, while working with the church model the program slows down pretty much and the mouse cursor flickers a lot, is there a way to improve this?

Lots of thanks.
