is it possible to map a sprite to a plain and then use sprite animations and transparency etc on the plain-attached sprite?

or is it possible to use sprites as plains in the first place? to set a z coordinate for sprites etc?

i realise these might be stupid questions, that's why they are in the newbie corner!

yeah sure all you have to do is texture the object with the sprite, for animations texture it with each frame separatly. to get transparency use the set object command(look in the help).

my games are only as good as the people who play them...
so if my game is crap then its your f******g fault!

COOL (i was kinda wondering this myself) so i guess this means that TVs are possible...(and computer screens...ect)

You know, when i see an old lady slip and fall on the side walk, my first instinct is to luagh, but then i think, what if i where an ant? and she fell on me, it just doesn't seem so funny anymore.

thanks for the help, i had actually already solved it this way, the problem i had when i posted what that it was flashing when i re-textured wich was.. hrrmm.. because i textured it with an empty image at one point making it flicker white at a certain frame! LOL!

Maybe this is just the ramblings of an ignorant DBC user, but I always though that DBP sprites were really just textured plains as far as the way they were calculated?

well i dont think you can set a depth value (z) for sprites so the soultion is to actually texture plains
