Are you bored by any chance?

My favourite text effect is from Cool3D. Is basically an animated font on fire. And altered to be cool blue colour. Nice. Wrapped it around a sphere for my almost complete, yet not touched in about 2 years, DB game. Didn't look so good, so I put another one around it (transparent though), with orange flames, orbiting the sphere like Saturn or something. Erm... Quite liked it at the time...

Cheers

Not bad. I too am extremely bored. So any port in a storm and all that...

Cool3D has been on mags and everything, so (at least the older versions) is completely free.

Is a bit annoying, because can't find where you can download a free version. Full version is only $50, so is not too bad even so.

And yeah, had crome, metal, and all sorts of nice additions. Best feature was that you could mix things. So an animated logo on fire (in blue), with metallic look, and spinning around, was well easy to do.

Haven't seen anything quite as good as it since though.

Cheers

Yeah UnderLord, I got your IM. Pretty neat stuff. I used to use The GIMP, but the thing that I hate about it is that they tried to port it from Linux and there are a heck of a lot of runtime errors.

Yeah that is a draw back but i'v learned how to avoid those quickly. It seems to only happen when you try certaint effects.

Not a bad image.

@ZHence

I've jut gotten GIMP version 2.0, and it runs really really well. Hasn't crashed yet. I'm using it to mak the basic images for my FX library. Love those light and glass effects.

I don't see the point in bumping someone elses thread, it's the same as spamming.
