More X file object related hilarity....

I have successfully textured the seperate polygons of my "shack" model. The texture I'm using for the planks is too big with 1.0 to 1.0 ratio on the UV co-ordinates. Under 3D Studio 4.2, I've changed the V tiling offset to 3.6, which looks much better. I've used the Panda plugin X file exporter to export the model as an X file, but somehow under DBPro when loaded, the texturing for the planks is reset to 1.0 to 1.0 ratio on the tiling. How can I export as an X file the correct UV tiling co-ordinates so that the planks don't look too big?

The only other way I can see for doing it, would be to split the polygon using Cut into seperate polygons and texture each polygon to make the texture look more tiled. However, this would give me extra polygons that I don't really need.

Any way I can fix this? Hope I explained it clearly enough. I can provide images if necessary.

I'm not a 3DS Max guy. I wish I could help, but I have to take a back seat on this one. Are you using the Panda export plugin? I've heard that mentioned a few times.

Yup, its way cool. Problem is, I'm not sure if *I'm* doing something wrong, or whether the Panda plugin is or whether its something to do with DBPro

Thanks anyway

The texture in the texture manager has to have a UV tiling of 1. Apply an UVWmap modifier to the object and change the tilling of the modifier to the values you want. That should do it.

Take care
