Personally I see this as a good thing.

We could go on hating them of course, but I think there is enough hate in the world already.

Repairing the bridges of our previous wrong-doings in the region will take many decades, accepting the appologies of Libya for their transgretions can only expediate that process.

Interestingly both my parents where arrested in Libya at a time before the diplomatic problems, but where later released and had dinner with Colonel Gadaffi. I'll cut the story short there though because it sounds better that way It's actually quite a dull story.


God created the world in 7 days, but we're still waiting for the patch.

remember, in 'back to the future' doc's time machine required plutonium... which he gets from the libyans by tricking them into thinking he's making them a nuclear weapon... he makes them a fake bomb made out of 'used pinball parts' and uses the plutonium for his time machine..

then when he's showing marty his kickass ride, the libyan's come by and doc yelps 'its the libyans! I don't know how they found me but they found me!', soon afterwards getting shot a few dozen times... comeon u gotta know back to the future, its one of the best movies of all time
