I've been reading some tutorials, the past few weeks, on how to model and here is my first attempt at making a woman.

I need your expert opinion. In the first pic the model has 289 Polygons and in the second it has 1168. Which means that, complete, the model will have circa 800 polys in the first and 2800 in the second.

Do you think that the first model has enough quality for a game? What about the second? Would it have too many polygons to feature in a game for high specs computers (around P4 2,5GB with GF4 Mx)? Regardless of anything else which is the best looking (half-)woman?
Regarding the texturing: If I texture the low poly one and then use meshsmooth will the texture coordinates be correctly adjusted?

Take care

I'd go with the first one, although that crease at the ankle needs some work.

The ankle and the feet have that glow. I tried smoothing it but although it gets a little better you still notice the difference. Any advices?

Are the verts all welded there?
It seems to look ok, but I can't really tell without front and side views and a proper 3/4 perspective.

Hmmm, I didn't weld the vertices manually but the foot was extruded from the bottom of the leg so I'd say yes(?).

Here is a wireframe view.

I've textured the low version and with a texture it looks really good. I'm really surprised with it. And when I meshsmoothed it retained the proper coordinates. I'm not going to post an image of the textured one, as it is the texture of a naked woman and I don't know if that violates any kind of rules. There are minores here, AFAIK. If a moderator allows I'll post it.

IMHO I don't see a HUGE difference between both models. The high face-count model looks almost as detailed as the low face model. I'd say go with the low poly model to save processor power for a detailed environment...
