Hi, I made some maps with MagicWorld, and it works great, but I opened the MW maps in notepad, and found out that the objects have the path where I loaded them (example C:\DB\rpg\obj\tree.x) and that would give problems if the finished game is installed as C:\games\Rpg\ anyone know what I can do?

If you're feeling confident, you can edit the filenames in MagicWorld directly so that they lead to someplace in your project folder. Or, you could move all the objects to your project folder and then re-open the map in MagicWorld and reload all the objects. I ran into a similar problem a little while ago, and I've found it's always best to just keep everything in your project folder.

One of the options is to save the project and all the associated files in a new folder. Does this fix the problem?

I'm going to have to check mine now

MW source is available, so it could be modified.

no, it did not solve my problem, if I made the program in c:dbmyprojrpg the finished version will have to be installed the in the same path, a solution is to make a installer that installs the game to C:thegame, and always installs there, and may not be moved, or else the game will not work.
how do I edit the pathnames maually, I tried in notepad, but that just corrupts the map file

It could be considered good if the user doesn't move your files around, that way they can never mess with your game's media unless you let them.

I would like to change the path from C:\blabla\blabla to \blabla\blabla (no c:\) that would make things alot easier, and then people could install the game to anywhere they like.
