You know, I was half thinking about starting a thread about this movie - I just saw it Friday.
My opinion: Most hilarious movie I've ever seen. (That means it was disappointing.) There were scary parts, but it wasn't all that scary - it was more stupid than anything.

The main problem that I had was with the zombies. The time it took for people to change from human to zombie was really, really, noticeably inconsistent, yet they presented it as though there was a consistent time it takes to change. Also, the zombies have great motor functions - they climb over railings and RUN (which is stupid IMHO). Another issue with this is that they were acting like the zombies couldn't drive cars and stuff - but based on the way they were acting, I don't see why they shouldn't be able to!
They also really didn't give a background to the story, and it was really exaggerated. Near the beginning of this movie after all the chaos starts, we're shown an aerial view of a highway, and a van which is going into an intersection just plows into another vehicle. Why is this stupid? Because it wasn't a four way intersection, it was a three way! The van would have at least turned, not just continued straight.
You know how in horror movies they play scary music when someone says that they're going somewhere that's supposed to be "cursed" or condemned or something? Well, that happened a lot in this movie, only at stupid parts. For example, most of the movie takes place at a shopping mall, which was the apparently the only safe place in the city. After all the bad stuff starts, they're like "We're going...to the mall!" lol and it plays this scary music. Oh, and that brings me back to the zombies. As I said most of the movie takes place inside the mall. Well, there are all these Zombies gathered outside the mall - the entire movie! Apparently, all they eat is uninfected humans, not dogs or anything. So I'm thinking, wouldn't they have starved by now? They were in that mall for months at least.
It was stupid.
