First, I hope this is in the correct forum.

I am writing a flight sim and have the Joystick controls working ok, except for yaw. Is there any code out there that has solved this. Code enclosed.

Y-Rotating your object isn't going to give you the results that you want. Remember that DBpro uses Euler angles and you can't just use the rotate commands like you are trying to.
What you are after is the Free Flight commands: PITCH, TURN and ROLL OBJECT. Those work local to the object's axis.
I would highly recommend downloading my EZrotate plugin. It allows true global AND local rotation.
You can download it at:

Thanks Wolf. I was GOING to use PITCH ROLL etc first, but the reference manual with DBPro convinced me it was the wrong way.
While you're here..... any ideas on skyspheres, as I'm xxxxxed if I can make them work

Regards,

Mike

No problem.

I bet I know what you are doing wrong with your sky sphere. Look into the Set Object command for the cull flag. By default polys are only viewable from one side. On a sphere the viewable side of the polys are the outside. If you are inside of the sphere you will not see it. You can change the cull flag to make both sides viewable. Other than that, I'm sure if you do a search you can come up with a few examples of sky spheres in DBpro.

Hi Wolf,

A million thanks. That worked fine. Does setting the cull flag flip the normals or something?

i think that it just renders the the texture on both sides.
the default is one side so as not to slow it down.

we are not outnumbered! we are just in a target rich enviroment!
