Hello, I'm back!

I have just spent six weeks in a militay prison and now that I am back I find that wolf has converted the Tokamak physics engine (FANTASTIC!) and there is news about the FPS Creator, which is looking rather good.

Is there anything else that has happened in the last six weeks that I should know about?

Didn't say he was an inmate mind.... and "militay" might a government, or a type of prison, rather than an army "military" prison.... erm... pushing it a bit on that one...

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

Hmmm... I thik I need to set a few things straight.

1. I typed militay - I meant military.

2. I'm in the RAF not the army.

3. Yes I was an inmate.

4. I dont consider myself to be a criminal. The reason I was there is because I had a 'negligent discharge' which means that I fired a round from my rifle when I shouldn't have. Nobody was hurt though.
I was firing an SA80 on the firing range and had just performed an unload drill, which invloves removing the magazine, checking the chamber is clear and then pointing the rifle down the range and firing off the action. At which point all that should happen is the rifle 'clicks' because it is unloaded.
The part where I &*%£ed up was checking that the chamber was clear - it wasn't! So I fired a round down the range.
It seems a little silly to go to prison for it because I had just fired 120 rounds down the range but this one round got me a £500 fine and six weeks in prison!

The reason I wanted to know if I had missed anything wsa because while I was away my girlfrien deleted all my emails including the DB Newsletters. But I have just found out you can easily read old issues from this site. So, no problems anymore.

P.S. If anything happened to DarkWing Duck - It wasn't me!

Glad to here that you're back. Can you even duck hunt with an SA80?

I was on jury service about 10 years ago and one of the cases was a similar thing. A military bloke shot what he thought was blanks in a training exercise but unfortunately there was a live round in the gun. This was not good for bloke that got shot dead. So I do understand that harsh penalties are required.

Boo!
