I guess I didn't realize they would be separate x models for each animation and the textures would be in DDS format which I have no idea how to manipulate.

Is there any way I can get ahold of the 3ds versions without buying the box version? or at least be able to do something with the models because right now they're near useless to me.

I understand not having some of the features (example programs, expansion set etc) but something I could actually use would be nice.

Hate to say it but it does say (quite clearly) the DarkMATTER Electronic objects are .X objects only and under the "Limitations" section it says "The 3DS format of the models have been removed". If you cannot load and use .X objects in whatever modelling package you have, why did you order it?

Yep. You got me there.

But it doesn't say

WARNING: You're going to have to load 5 different x models to put 1 animated character in your game, and the model textures are in DDS format.

I should have read the fine-print better I guess. I just saw the models in a download version and didn't want to wait for shipping and I thought "cool I can get them right away." Oh well.

Maybe others will see this and not buy it, or make sure they get the full version.

I can manipulate x models but I hate to mess with them more than I have to, that's the whole idea of paying for a model pack.
