Solidus. You were right with the last two. The first was Hainnan.

Hehe. Never knew language would come in so handy.

We've gotta learn 3 languages in school(English, Chinese and Malay). And different place in the country uses their own dialecs. So in the end, we end up knowing 3 languages and 4 dialecs. Equalavant to almost.. 7 languages.

Euro... I hate that. My country has not changed to Euro and I hope they won't. Seems like a good idea but in the end u lose ( in some cases ) centuries of tradition ( songs, histories about the currency, jokes ). Euro was a big mistake after all.

Well, I speak portuguese, spanish, english, swedish and italian

Japanese, I love that language... I got a book from the library but it was really bad one with an old tape... ack.

Oh here is something for u joshualimm ( and for eveyone else using Altavista )

www.travlang.com/languages

They have basic ( sometimes full ) classes of languages. Last time I've checked it was over 70 languages in there It's also possible to listen the basic workds from native speakers, pretty cool, but I am too lazy to learn anything

Dia Duit is a greeting meaning "hello"
but the actually translation is "God be with You".
Any ideas what the language is yet?

Mirth...
First is Norsk Vikin'
Second not a freakin' clue!
Third is LOTR (JRR Tolkens version of Runes )
Last I'm unsure of ... I mean I know the setting but which of the actual cultures of the time I'm unsure of.
I'd hazzard a guess at Bablonian Glyph but probably wrong

ya know the thing is there is a difference between Runes, Glyphs, and Symphoe

Vikings uses Runes, as each rune represented an action, an idea or item.
Babylonians use Glyphs, picture representation of a letter.
And Japanese use Symphoe which uses drawn letters to represent an actual alphabet however also Gylphs to represent words and actions.

Raven, you're right so far. The last one was actually a red herring - a ding font. The weird stick one was Ogham staves. The ancient Celtic would erect huge standing stones and carve these into them.
