I guess that would depend on what distro you're getting.
Mandrake 10 has support for a good amount of cards.
It detected my Radeon 7500 when Mandrake 9 didn't. On the
other hand, when I installed it on a machine that supposedly
had a voodoo2, I got a hard crash. You're gonna have to
experiment for a while.

Can I see a demo now?

Get with the times, nothing supports a Voodoo anymore.

Is that another anti-linux comment I hear from TCA?
If I remember correctly, the 3DFX cards (until the Voodoo 3) Required a 2D card in order to do everyday 2D things.

go to http://www.3dfxfiles.com (I forgot the name of the new site, but if you go to that link,it will direct you to the new site of the voodoo drivers), from there there should be a drivers listing, or search for the drivers within the new site. Then when you have found the drivers for your voodoo1, there should be a linux distrib file that comes with the driver. Good luck.

See yaz bye.

It was the best card for its time, true. But its time just so happened to be 10 years ago.

Actually they don't. No games support any Voodoo cards anymore, ever since 3dfx went bust glide support was dropped from any new games that came out.
