Hey im about a quarter of the way through makin an effects generator program for dbp and i want to know what i should include. right now im working on getting some billboarding to work and some nice looking particle stuff. i will hopefully have screenshots once my good comp gets fixed.

How about axial billboarding? That would be good for textured plains that have a fixed beginning and end point, but need to rotate around their axis to face the camera.

yes axial billboarding is one thing that is being worked out but is proving difficult. luckily i have to do this for school so i might as well share it... anymore ideas?

Here'a a tip, use the EZRotate plugin by Wolf. DBP's default euler rotation system will drive you nuts.

Anybody else have ideas for effects?

I was thinking maybe something to do with lights but im not sure
