I have a character model which I want to jump and spin on 'its' x axis but using the xrotate option it only spins on the matrix' x axis?

more specifically the problem comes when I rotate the object around its Y axis when I try to get it to jump and spin it spins off sideways.

anyone know a command or something to allow me to do this?

Look up turn object left/right. They're relative rotation commands.

I'm not meaning to sound rude.. but I have the left right commands they are relative to the object turning on its Y axis I want my object to turn on its X axis.

Downloading now.. I hope it works.. shame I would have liked to know how to do it without using a pre-built program.

My bad. Pitch rotates on the relative X axis and roll rotates on the relative Z axis I don't mean to be rude, but pull your head out of the sand and read the manual and help files.

This command will rotate an existing 3D object to pitch upwards. The rotation is independent of any axis

must be specified using an integer value. The angle must be specified using a real value.

SYNTAX
PITCH OBJECT UP Object Number, Value

ROLL OBJECT LEFT
This command will rotate an existing 3D object to roll left. The rotation is independent of any axis
orientation and allows free motion. The value of the angle can be positive or negative. The object number

LOL. Yeah, they could use some brushing up. That's why I suggest reading them from cover to cover. Not so much so that you have to memorize every command, but just so you know how they are related and where you can find them.

I've tried it and unfortunately Pitch object up snaps my character back onto what I think is the Z axis so that it can perform the twist.

pitch object up 1,3 does indeed roll my character during the jump part of my program but as I said it snaps back to one of the axis to perform it.

I'm gonna go look and see if anyone has made any code for sonic-esque 3d game as that should have the kind of jumping code I'm looking for so that I can adapt it for my uses.
