I'm loking for any help with getting my character to jump and spin like sonic.
- the code needs to be able to work with basic matrix roaming code. ie. if the character is facing any angle it needs to be able to jump linear along its current facing route

I've been trying for days now to get the code right and it is completely baffling me.

Anyone who has a small code snippet that would show me how to adapt my current code for a spinning jump would be great.

*the current problem is the code I create is either snapping back to one of the matrix axis or the object/character is spinning along the X axis when facing in a different direction.

thanx in advance Trevor AKA penfold

For this particular problem, I'd suggest that you simply animate the spinning jump. I'd organise the animation so that there was a few start jump frames then a loop for the spin, then a landing anim that can smoothly go into the running anim.

There are a few issues with rotating models, and you can get around it all by using your animations so your best to do that.
