When the original Star Trek ended, and some years later, Star Trek TNG came out, it was TNG that looked terrible to older fans of Star Trek. Q was rediculous, Data was just Spock, and the stories seemed too dull. TNG grew to be better after you got used to the new characters, and the special effects started to become more expensive. Data became the best character after getting some main character roles. The Borg sealed the deal. Deep Space 9 to me is worse than the Original Star Trek. My favourite is Voyager, although I still think that the Captain could have been tougher. Enterprise is not even a Star Trek in my opinion. I wouldn't allow it the title.

i think enterprise is before the original star trek because in one episode they said that the new technology was perfectly safe (transporting) in star trek they had transporting and such but never said it was a new technology. star trek TNG was just a leap in to the future of the star trek universe as to where enterprise is a leap backwards....a big leap. so now the original star trek is just stuck in the middle =\

yes "Enterprise" is supposed to be in the past, but all they're stuff looks more advanced then the original star trek tecnology! one reason i don't like "Enterprise" is becuase of that "Vulcan" (tepal) she is not a real vulcan, she has way too many emotions!...........One of my favourite star treks is "Voyager" that was a pretty good one

Well, yeah. Is supposed to be the start of Star Trek etc. They said that from the beginning. Even in the original series apparently Kirk said his hero as a kid was Archer.

Unfortuantly the series is pants, and hopefully all the characters will be killed off one by one. Apart from that vulcan when she has to do a detox thingy with green gel. Bit obvious, but what the hell.

Although I wouldnt say Im a 'trekkie' I love Star Trek - I dont like the original series, I love TNG, DS9 was OK, and Voyager was brilliant. Enterprise should be put out of its misery and shot dead now - or at least get rid of the TERRIBLE theme tune - I say bring back Jerry Goldsmith and Alexander Courage to show them how to write a Trek theme.

Actually when Enterprise started I was sure it would be good. And then I heard the song. Argggglee!!!! WTF? But now I kinda like the cheesy song, and really hate the series. Strange huh?

Oh, and Darwin, watch that Trekkie film. Erm... Trekkers or somesuch. Is fantastic. Real eye opener. Honestly, you won't be able to stop watching. Much like a train wreck or something astonishing in a bad way. The "Commander" is an extra special lady BTW.

Gawd. Just checked out some of the piccies from the sequel, and am sure that the commander woman is now a commodore. Well, it is 7 years since the first film. Plenty of time to gain rank I suppose.....

She is the one who apparently was chucked out of a court case dressed in full Star Trek uniform. She then complained about how it was an official uniform (based on Navy/ army etc can wear their uniform in court cases) and got back in. Pity she has plastic toys around her waist (phaser, scanner thingy etc). Arf.

Oh, and she worked in a paper company (photocopier stuff methinks), and was most amusing to see her boss say things like "Commander, get 3 reams of 2nd class paper to store room B!". Choke... coff... well, just sort out the space time continium thingymagig in the coffee room first, obviously... She was wearing her full uniform and "equipment" at work too....

Heh, and the film was full of people who had their ears surgically altered to look vulcan and everything. Class.

2nd one looks like not just in America/ Canada, but also a few places around the world. So share the shame a bit...

Actually shows it will be released this month, and has links to book seats to watch it at film festivals.

Unless of course one of the countries involved shut it down to avoid the sheer shame of it all. Was it Canada with the town of Vulcan? That must have took a toll last time...

Have you seen the film? Tis class. Well worth a watch. I consider myself a little bit of a fan, but these guys are the best. Now, dress up as a Vulcan, or a Klingon, or some green bird all you want. At conventions. But walk around where you work dressed as VKlar'Mongo, or have parts of your anatomy surgically changed to look like your favourite Vulcan etc, and thats where you step over the line. Big style. Sheesh.

Was also quite a funny scene with a University class. Everyone looked normal. And they were learning Klingon. Fair enough, is supposed to be the fastest growing spoken language in the world or somesuch. But then there is the tw*t in the corner dressed in full Klingon outfit (facial makeup etc). Tops.

Cheers

Haggis Eater, five Star Wars films (two of which were utter tosh) cant compare to 10 Star Trek films and well over 500 episodes.

Of course. And the Ewoks were slightly annoying... but still an awesome movie compared to 1 & 2. Still, at least that stupid kiddies puppet character was reduced a bit in the second movie.

Oooh.. Dunno. I really like Trek, I really do. But the original Star Wars movies (not the new ones!!!!) are the nads man. Different league. But in the end they are totally different things. Good old comparing oranges with apples phrase again. Comparing Star Wars with Galactica on the other hand is more like it.

And I don't know about you, but the films have always been a letdown compared to the series. Apart from 2 and 4 of course. And the last few films have been pants.

If you want a sequel letdown BTW, try Matrix 2 and 3. Complete and utter rubbish compared to the first (which was genius). Both of them. And try watching the animatrix. Sigh. Talk about talking yourself too seriously...

Man enterprise is OK but it isnt the best trek show i think TNG is really good and Voyager is good too but DS9 isnt all that good at all they run it on spike tv now daily i think with like 3 episodes back to back i think maybe more or less but it is just so boring.

TNG and voyager arnt boring because they actually move heh.
