At the risk of sounding like Andy Rooney...

Why is that when I make any kind of 3d program, (space flyer, matrix terrain, simplistic dungeon explore, that kind of thing.)
It feels so small?

Does anybody else know what I'm talking about? I extend my borders, try to put more enviroment on the screen, but it always slows waaaay down, or it feels like its in the perspective of a 30foot giant whou happens to spend a lot of time crawling atround on his belly.

The other thing I can't help but notice, is that (of course,) nobody else's programs feel this way. Am I just being sensitive? Or am I doing something wrong? Does anybody have advice? I wish I could make this clearer, but its just a feeling.

Think Gad fro Spill Chock!

maybe you could use the scale command? (if its not just a feeling, but the level is actually too small to feel right)

maybe change the camera field of view?

do you mean the character feels too big, or that the level as a whole is too small?

you can always play around with the camera. For example. You made a simple room and loaded it in darkbasic.

If you position the camera 20 Y above the ground the room will look smaller than when its 2 Y above the ground.

Next thing is movement. In that same room, if you can walk very fast, it will make the room look small.

You should try to position the camera and set the movement speed as low as possible, without making the game unrealistic.
