There's a book you can buy but it costs like 75.00$.

learning by example is usually best so try and look at as many code snippets as possible that describe what it is you are trying to do at the moment
(as well as what is mentioned above)

Aye Yellow's tutorials are very good - I've recently entered the DB Pro arena myself - I'm getting the hang of things now but not without help from these fellas on these forums.

Ask away - torment people - worked for me

The manual and on-demand help could be better (it's fine if you know the command but want to refresh your memory) but nothing is better than real practical advice which you get on here in abundance.

The book "Beginners Guide to Dark Basic Game Programming" is a good buy if you are new to programming - if you're not new to programming itself then the usefulness of the book deminishes - having said that there are several good sections towards the end discussing sprites and 3D.
