Ive made my models in 3ds max 6, then when i try putting them into dbpro, the program closes instantly as soon as it is launched, it isnt my code either, i tried it in the demo code that comes with dbpro and it did exactly the same thing, you know the bike demo and sphere mapping and stuff? then i tried a model from day of defeat and it loaded fine, what am i doing wrong?

I tried in both .x and .3ds formats.

More info: nothing complicated has been done to the model, it is a man i have made from extruding faces from a box and applied a mesh smooth modifier to then converted into an editable poly, then exported, only 94 polys aswell.

3DS models don't work all that well. IMHO, you should stick with .X files.

Not sure which exporter you're using, but I recommend one from PandaSoft

Really useful and tons of options. Can even export animations and such.

Why dont you use the .x exporter that you get with db???
I havent had eny problems with it!

The only problem i have had is the .bsp exporter that you get with dbp, it does not work if!

i had a model about 2.5mb for bsp game, but the exporter just stopped.
