you cannot get good + free music software...
"good" and "free" are two terms that don't relate good to each other, specially in music software
I suggest buying some Magix product, cuz they're cheap yet powerful (compared to low prize) and they're very easy to learn.
Anyway if you want to make professional music you have to buy either Logic or Cubase, there's no way around that, but you don't seem to want really professional music software, are you? Just buy some Magix product and you're happy

I agree... Good and free...Generally don't go hand in hand. You can check out VSD Tracker in the showcase.

eh yeah guess that was a double negitive hehe good and free hehe

But anyhow if i buy some cheap software and i get good at using it then i'll want more and then i'll have to go out and buy some not so cheap software need to add this to my list of things to buy.

1. harddrive (20 gig)
2. ram (128 megs)
3. universal IDE cables (2)
4. Geforce 4 FX 5200 or 5900 or whatever (1)
5. new amd cpu (1)
6. Sound card (have any recommendations for a cheap but yet good one must have bass control heh)
7. music software


yep going by what is cheaper why a 20 gig hard drive? because im putting it in my new computer and don't expect to use that much space 128 megs or ram is for my old computer (one im on now) because old ram is going in new computer (768 megs) another gfx card for new computer (fx 5600 or whatever is a really nice card 100USD damn thats like one paycheck for me i need a better job) new cpu is because my other cpu for my new computer isnt working or so i think it might be damaged because i don't think the thermal stuff is sopost to stick to the cpu =\ and the music software needs no explanation
