Other classic exercises would be a tank game (with bouncing shells) or a bath water baby bounce game.

im not all too good yet, the pacman tutorial im following uses all 3d, although it has an overhead view.im thinking of modifiying to have a 1st person view, and a map, it will probably be crap, but it will be fun to make it.

yeah, i agree, y not mod the pong to make a split screen reflector type game with the cameras ontop of the paddles, wouldnt be hard to make
