today was one of the provisional "official" release dates for DoomIII, no Doom has surfaced yet BUT at the supermarket tonight I noticed they had a X-Box magazine featureing preview footage of Doom III on the X-Box saying it was the most frightening game ever , so I think it`s gotta be close now, they wouldn`t compile a version for the X-box unless the game was VERY close to finished IMO, that prolly means that HL2 will surface soon as well, I would like to see the X-box footage to see if anything new has been added to the existing footage we have all seen, any opinions?

the hype started to long before the release of both games(hl+doom) that i've lost intrest really, i don't care anymore and i probably won't be buying either of them.

In the beginning, the universe was created...
This made alot of people very angry and it has been widely regarded as a bad idea...

Gotta agree with Mentor here. Can't wait to see that dude with the chainsaw actually in front of me gettin shot at. Moving off track only very slightly. What do you think of the new inventory system where your only allowed to carry so many things, one of these things will be a torch so imagine the situation. Do you run into the dark room with a weapon but unable to see or do you keep your torch but lose your weapon. I'm sill deciding whether this is a good or bad move. Alot of FPS's seem to be following this trend but will it leave fans of the first doom feeling a little trigger happy. Can't wait though and I'll probably buy it whatever hapens.

Hopefully they'll have lights mounted on their weapons. I think I heard the SMG has a light mounted on it. Should be phat.

Signature? No! Obsolete! These days it's all about chip and pin!

Ofcourse there's probably been a thread about this at sometime but we would have HL2 now if the source code hadn't been stolen.

Do you honestly believe that? if so i feel sorry for you.
Valve promised us Half-Life2 at Christmas (even after the source stolen), then they pushed it back to April.
Now it is TBA...
sorry but i don't think it would be out now even if the source wasn't released.

And to think I had preordered Half-Life 2 for a release date of last September. I quickly changed to the GTA III double-pack for Xbox when Valve announced HL2 would be released in April.

hehe. Well, look on the bright side... when HL2 & DoomIII (who cares about that?) are released, more people are able to run them. Actually you should be able to run them now as FarCry seems to do pretty much everything those two games have.

naah. I'll stick waiting for Stalker incase it might even have "some" depth to it. though it's very early alpha released on the net was quite crappy.
