Does anyone knows if those games made for Linux can be played against someone using the versions made for Windows? A friend of mine is selling those babes really cheap, so I am planning to buy it. Have anyone tried?

Thanks

I beleive the answer is yes.
The servers all run linux and therefore the clients for both OS's games connect to a linux server so I'm definately going with yes

I'd like to have the games for linux but they are more expenisve (if you buy at RRP) and I can't even afford the Win versions at the moment. I'll have to learn DB sharpish and program my own Quake 3
