Everytime I try to open the hypershade window my computer freezes, does anyone know why this is happening, and how I can fix it?

Perhaps you should ask Alias Wavefront, since you have spent so much money on their product. I'm sure their customer service line would be happy to help you. I've not come across a problem like that, but I've only used the PLE version - perhaps the full version does things differently.
