why does the cannot close nest error appear in general and are there any other ways to give a model multiple animations other than append object

you have to have as many closing statements for loops as you have opening ones eg:

for i-1 to 10
for l=1 to 10
next l

is wrong, you have to have the "next i" on the end, this also applies to repeat-until,do-loop,while-endwile and any others.

just how would you give the model multiple animations if you didn`t append them?, the question is nonsense, if you mean how could get the same effect then you could just use different models and swap them between syncs, or you could make a model with all the animations you want and then play just the bits of the model animation you want (a kind of "pre-appended" model) but you will use less video memory and make life easier if you just append animations as you want them in the long run, cheers.
