Sorry for short notice but can somebody either make or find me a bus model, single decker, first manchester style if you live in britain. Im going to texture it as part of my graphics project and need it asap. Before friday if possible. It doesnt matter if you cant help. A UV map would be useful too. Any help appreciated.

Sorry im brief but im at college and I had to rush. Preferably in a format supported by anim8or or milkshape. Heres a pic so you know what i mean...

[edit] P.S. A rather large texture is important as I have to edit the texture to lay an advert image on to the side, and then make a hi-res render of the model. Cheers.

so it doesn't need to be textured?
[edit] if you don't need texture then i'll give it a shot...

Magellan : Well a UV map for me to texture would be great if you could manage it. Just a BMP or JPG or whatever with areas marked out would be fantastic.

[edit] Also if possible, and if you do one, could you make it something like 1024x1024 as I need to keep it as hi-res as possible. Cheers.

wbarrett: thanks for that, I'll get it. It needs to be quite an accurate model Im afraid due to the nature of this project, but I can always try to edit it a little. Thing is, will I have the time?

Thankyou once again.

If you have a picture of the side and the front i could make a very accurate model. Unfortunatly with a perspective image i am guessing all the dimensions. As for the UV map i wont be home until thursday around 7:30pm(est). I will be able to make the textures as large as you like. the best bet would be to break the bus up into a couple of Maps. maybe one map per side. so 5 total (no map for the bottom of bus)

Id love it if I did have profile pics of it but unfortunately thats not the case. If anything all it needs is

o Definition to the door
o Stretch it longer
o Curve/set the windscreen back a little

Ive got Lithium Unwrap somewhere but I cant remember how to use it its been so long. Have to give it a whirl - my final deadline is Monday 26th of April and Ive got to have the renders done before then!!! I plan to texture the model and then render it, printing it on Monday and getting it stuck down in my lessons. Phew.

Magellan: Thankyou, I look forward to seeing it.

Well basically all I need is a hi-res texture for the bus (like I said before, about 1024x1024) as I need to make it as detailed as possible. All I really need is for someone to create a basic texture, marking out windows etc and where everything is on the image, then I can simply draw over it to create the proper texture.

I could UV Map it + texture it (Basic Stuff). I could model it too, but it seems others have already said they would. Its pretty simple though, just a box, cept for the wheels.

Problem with that model was the sides were all uneven and messed up, only tested the 3ds so I dont know if it was on all of them. The sises needed work, and it needs a little more detail than just a rounded box.

ok i went to 1700 polys but hey it has interior

you will need to set backface culling on else you will find some holes in it coz using backfaces keeps polycount down :-P

Wow, those are fantastic guys!!! Thanks a lot for your help, I really like that one dark coder. wbarret I like yours too, but the only problem is the door in the middle - thats exactly where I need to put the advert and its only supposed to go over a window.

darkcoder: Are you going to do UV's for the wheels and seats too? Once again thanks a lot people.

can you call it a textured model if its partly textured :-P

of course ill texture/uv map it all,

ill have to do it tomorow though since im downloading americas army (650 meg), and this is my 4th time ive d/l it since i keep cancelling my d/l, or my pc freezez or i save it to temp and it gets deleted so i dont trust myself in even doing anything, so once ive d/l the game should be around 8 pm i suppose i could do it at around 8 but ill prolly be playing it so saturdays`s your best bet , ill try to do my best skinning job on it , not that i dont try and do my best on all my models.

Cheers darkcoder, I appreciate you taking the time to help. Thats fine, I have plenty to keep me busy over the weekend. I just have to have it done before Monday.

[edit] P.S. Was there a link to the model before or was I just mixing it up with wbarret's? I was at college so couldnt download anything and I cant remember.

and by the way, wbarret, that link isnt working to your latest bus. Have you taken it down?
