OK the car is finally done. probably the most time i spent on a low poly car, about 4 1/2 hours. but here it is 2348 polygons, 1177 vertices.
tell me what you think.
Thanks for the oppertunity Dennuz666

thanks guys.
the front window only looks square from the aerial view, which was pure coincidence... I dont like that either. but it is a deception the windshield is in fact very round.

here is some special renders.

thanks,
I use lightwave for modelling.

The texturing will all be done by Dennuz666, so its up to him to make it look professional and fit into his game perfectly

There sill be some final modifications done to the model:
1. The fenders will be more rigid and the tires wont stick out.
2. Create a more rigid look along the side, maybe some type of running board

where the windows, (the cabin or what ever it's called), seems to get narrower towards that top and doesn't look like most cars, I think it should be at less of and angel.
Wheels aren't finished.
It looks so nice though. You're a good modeller.

ok the rear is round again but now there are some nice rims.
I am still not sure how i am going to edit the cab area... might make the roof flat or just make the side windows angle up more
The rims most likely wouldn't be used for gaming since it brings the car over 3100 polys

Yep, i'm working hard on it. I finished the (for the third time!!!) car controlling, so i'm ready for the model . The car needs some little work to be done. I am building a track, but damn! Thats not an easy job. I'll stick to only a road now.

this might be the final version of this car. the window is changed and the wheel well edges are not as sharp.
this image shows an unedited uvmap. this car will proably have 3 or 4 seperate uv maps

Can we use multiple UV maps on a DB object? I think we don't Before we get a lot of work done. I always thought you could only have one jpg/png/bmp for a texture.

no, you can have multiple texture files for a single object.

but you can't change the texture at runtime, because the "texture object" command doesn't support it. but it it's all set in the model file, it'll load fine.

You can use multiple texture files if you use the texture limb command. Of course this will only work if your model has multiple limbs.

not true, your model can be 1 limb and have ten textures, they just cant be fading with eachother, or blending

I use sever testures at once before, they only restraint was that the seperation of the textures were based on the alignment of the polys. i couldnt have 2 textures on one polygon.

just one critique, i would say that the ground clearance for the body of the car next to the wheels is too low, would have to be drinving on an almost totally flat plain not to hit the body work off the ground.

go to http://www.dennuz666.com/ to see the kind of track being worked on for the game. The great thing about modelling and games is that you are in complete control and reality doesn't over rule creativity.
thanks for the critique
