I have the media. but if I bump map in gmax, or 3D Canvas. Do I need to bump map in dbpro. For my models. And if you dont mind whats the deal with this 3ds and .x thing. Where can I find the advantages and disadvantages of both. What about .mdl files. gmax exports them directly. ANy help would be super appreciated.Thankz.

p.s. Do those formats support bump mapping and do they support opacity mapping.Thanks.

both .x and .3ds support alpha mapping and bump mapping. However i am not sure how they load into DBpro because i am still waiting for it in the mail. you might have to load them like an image map.

Sigh, man, use the help files

Quote: "SET BUMP MAPPING ON
This command will set the bump map for the specified object. Bumpmapped textures are combined with the main texture to create an
object with a visually uneven surface. Your video card must have the ability to create this hardware effect.

SYNTAX
SET BUMP MAPPING ON Object Number, Image Number"
