Hey all

I need suggestions on what would be a "fun" project for a newbie to begin coding with, I decided to introduce my little sister to programming using Db but I want her to have fun while doing it (so that she won't give-up coding)... So what do you guys sugest?

She probably won't be able to do much programming, but I don't know how young your sister is. Start with pong it never fails

A really simple idea that could be fun is to make some sort program where the person has to guess what number the computer is thinking of, between 1 and 5. If they get it right, the screen would flash colors and play a good sound. If they get it wrong, the screen could turn red, and it would play a bad sound, like a scream or something like that.

Perhaps Pong cight be too advanced for a young beginner. There is a lot of math involved.

puzzle games are fun.

do something with sprites, sorta like tetris.. or something.

Or you could make a gab lib game (similar to the one with the book Beginners Guide To DarkBasic). This program has questions that you answer and then it will make a story. The questions are like What is a noun you read?
