it depends on what your domain name is.
my domain name is villaingames.com so when i put a image, say freelander01.jpg into the dbforums folder on my website the link is as follows:
http://www.villaingames.com/dbforums/freelander01.jpg

if you have a hotmail account then the image link will be as follows:
http://www.hotmail.com/username/images/imagename.jpg
where username is the name of your hotmail account
images is the name of the folder that you out your images in
imagename.jpg is the nme of the image itself

ok when i do it.. i just come up with text.... how can i upload the pictures.. do i even have to? and my hotmail acount is [email protected] so i would type in http://www.hotmail.com/[email protected]/mypictures/mypicture ? should that work?

you have to upload the images up onto your hotmail account first then in the db forum type:
http://www.hotmail.com/tmth710/imagefolder/imagename.jpg
