First of all, there are tons of these posts, try searching the forums.

Anim8or - http://www.anim8or.com (May seem simple and hard to work with, but I got used to it, and its easy.)
Wings3D - http://www.wings3D.com (I dont use it anymore)
G Max - I forgot the website (Dont like it, but you might, and so do others)
