Search this forum section for panda and see if you can find some guidelines for proper exporting.

That sucks. I guess you need a better tool for game development.

Seriously, I've heard more complaints about 3DS Max than any other tool. How in the hell did it get to be an industry standard?

Maybe one of the other 3DS/Panda users will take pity on you. Perhaps you should make a new post with 3DS MAX/Panda in the title and not something brainless like "AAAAAAAAAAAARG!!!!"

[Catches breath.] Wooh! I feel better.

CharacterFX dudes, it's the best £15 you'll spend this year.

There HAS to be some documentation on DirectX exporting with max. You dont pay that much money for nothing. Search your manual for something like 'DirectX Animation' or something.

How does EVERYONE get 3DS Max....

IMesh is great, not only will it get files illegally, it will install up to 20 spyware and adware programs on your machine. Those rat f*ck bastards even try to sell you pop-up blocking software to 'fix' the adware that IMesh installs. If anyone ever needed to get their testicles smashed with a sledgehammer, I'd nominate the authors of IMesh.

[One of my idiot children installed IMesh on my PC. That was the event that made me a firm believer in programs like Spybot: Search and Destroy and Pest Patrol.]

BTW Siege, suggesting piracy is the number one way to get banned on this forum. If you must offer that kind of advice, send a private e-mail or instant message. Better yet, say nothing.

that's why i never ilegaly(spelling ) download other peoples programs...becuase i know that i wouldn't want that to happen to mine

Siege,
If you are interested in buying CharacterFX then go ahead - put this way I took a model and imported it into CharacterFX, built the skeleton, assigned the vertices to the skeleton, and I was away animating within half an hour - the only experience I'd had with mesh deform animation before that was with 3DS Max and I'll never consider Max as a mesh animation option again - I still use max for limbed anims which have always been easy.

I hope you don't get a cracked copy just to save £15 - I can't understand anyone who'd try and blag copies of CFX or Milkshape. I have very little sympathy for Discreet - they should have home user versions that won't require a re-mortgage to obtain and let the professionals pay for bloat.
