2D All the way! / can I lock a sprite to a 3d object

Im making a 3d game but it only has one camera angle so i can add sprite to enhance my graphics,lol . Then I realised i didnt know how to do it. Please help.

Sprites are the same in 3D as they are in 2D. So just use them as normal.

ok thanks for the help....how about locking a sprite to a sprite...Well what i want to do is lock a weapon sprite to a character sprite and then it should still react to the character in the same way as the first sprite(when the character attacks). really need help on this one...it will determine if my game is 2d or 3d. It is a core part of my game.
Please help!!

They would just share the same X/Y positions with a small offset. Or you could make a seperate sprite image of the man holding the gun. I'd make a seperate image myself.
