can i use bump mapping in 2d? I heard you can apply a bitmap to a plain...so if thats possible can you bump map it..and add lights in dbpro...?please help?

You wouldn't need to bump map something in 2D. You could add the bumps as actual 3D polygons. Bump mapping saves polygons in 3D, but in 2D you are already saving lots of polygons by not showing the back of an object. You can use those saved polygons to make the front polygons more detailed.

Somebody made a very, very impressive 2d bumpmapping demo in PureBASIC.

On Projects> Applications, called "Bump" and "BumpMap". The sourcecode is included if you want to look, maybe you could convert it (with permission).

In my opinion, bump is the better one.

This is perfect. Cause last night I decided to write a 2d bump map effect for dbp. This'll help greatly.
