Whenever I try to make anything in DarkBASIC since I installed Windows XP the screen flashes. I thought it might be to do with DirectX but I can't install the DirectX from the disk - it says it isn't compatible with the version of Windows I am running.

Am I the only one here who's really confused?

Windows XP can update itself with Windows Update (start menu).
It will download the latest version of directx.

I've noticed it only seems to happen on the earlier Geforce Cards. I run a course in programming DarkBASIC where I work (a school) and all the systems there have the flashing screen problem. They are all Geforce 4s. At home I run Geforce FX and its fine.
