Um what is going to probably be the best for a MMORPG (or MORPG)
Bsp level,X type level or Matrices?
I wanna have the feel of everquest type map or asherons call or any of those other American MMORPG with the huge map type thing...
o and what is the best editor to use perferably free at the moment..

i'm not sure about the types because i was told that .x is a model format. you could try it. Then if it doesnt work convert it to bsp. As for the program....try deled or gmax or I'm told unrealed 2003 apparently it can export levels that can be converted for dbp. If it works you can create levels and great terrains that loads pretty quick. Hope this helps.

you can use Quake 3 and Doom 3 tyep levels but those are FPS. I think u use md3 or m3d w/e it is.

Edit: Oh for AC type maps use Matrices.

This same question came up on the Torque Game Engine forums and the response was that you could NOT use gmax because you would be in breach of the licensing terms. You are only allowed to use gmax with a limited number of games. Besides gmax uses its own file format so you'd need a file converter, again, in breach of licensing terms.
