Have you guys heard about this new movie, Batman Begins? production is already underway but should be completed sometime june next year. It stars christian bale (equilibrium) as batman and ken watanbe (the last samurai) as the boss, Ra's Al Ghul.

They've totally re-vamped the batmobile and i must say, bale certainly fits the part! I'm kinda glad thier going for the more serious batman (like the original with michael keaton) and not the childish, colourfull ones of late. The story starts just before bruce actually becomes batman and has nothing whatsoever to do with the others.

The new Batmobile... or should i say Batbuggy :

Don't forget that the director is Brit genius Chris Nolan.

The car looks great from the back, but not quite so good from the front. Anyhow I'm glad that Batman is back the way it's meant to be.

That batmobile doesn't look very batmanish. I wish they'd get back to BatMan's roots, being Dark. And the movies shouldn't be happy, BatMan's a Pysco not a SuperMan.

It's amazing how much TV has raised us. (Bart Simpson)

Actually looking at the car in more detail, it's possible that the bonnet of the car has slid onto the roof for offroad driving. That would be cool, and the car would look good with the bonnet down...If that is what has happened there...???

That's exactly what they're doing.
Look at the photos. Batman is not a happy bunny.

The next film (Batman: Year One I think it might be called)
is being directed by Aaron Arofkronzki (whatever, the guy beind Pi and Requiem for a Dream). That one sure as hell won't be happy.
I think Bale's definately got that moody-psycho thing going on.

Yeah Bale should suit well as batman. Hopefully the car does some sort of cool transformation cos it does look a bit wierd. Yet it does look dark and meancing which is cool too.

Christian Bale's a great actor. I'm not sure he's got a Batmanishness about him, but good actors adapt...

Cloony? Cloony's a great actor, but I agree he didn't make a good Batman.

Well this guy does have a Batman look about him, but he looks quite old. Who would you choose?.....

I'd choose....

Keanu Reeves.

No it's not. The director is Christopher Nolan - director of Momento and Insomnia.

this one looks a lot better than the last two though. I've always said the first two films with Michael Keaton were the best.

This one is directed by Chris Nolan (as I said earlier), but the next one is directed by Darren Aronofsky (that's the one)

And its Memento

Keanu Reeves wouldn't be that bad...

it's kinda ironic that the first batman, the most serious one had "the joker" as the boss (jack nicholson was perfect ) and the latest weak sequels had more serious enemies like mr freeze (anyone seen the animated movie sub-zero?), 2face, poison ivy etc

funny thing is, i haven't really heard of the "Ra's Al Ghul" guy, i was never really a regular batman comic reader.

I'm annoyed because they were filming a few scenes around London's Docklands recently and I am only a few miles away and could have seen what was going on. They reckon Docklands easily doubles as Gotham City. Can't wait to see how!

I don't remember Batman being a psycho from the TV show, he always came off as a jolly old fellow with his bat-dance and jigs, sort of like Santa Clause.

Batman started out as a regular detective, the TV shows don't even count as Batman material. He was made psychotic by the more modern comics. Johnny Depp would make a good Batman. How about Russell Crowe?

He was always a psyco. The story is parents die he spends the REST OF HIS LIFE avenging them, that is psyco behavior.

The old story was more like, he spends his life fighting crime, which is not psychotic at all.

Every super hero does that though, by your logic all 'heroes' are psychos.

At the end of the day he's just some guy who goes around the city at night beating the crap out of people.

It doesn't really matter that they're villians.

Batman doesn't even have any superpowers.

No super-powers, but he would be extremely intelligent to invent all of those machines, and super computers, and powerful exo-skeleton costume. He also has the ability to solve complex puzzles. Then he's extremely fit.

I think that's why it appeals to people more then say, Superman.

I guess so. But really Catwoman is the only super hero who tells us this directly. They should make a Catwoman movie(the comics ruled).

It's in the works, check yahoo! movies, but for some reason they modifyed the script and cast a black woman (halle berry) as the heroin, or should i say psycho.

halle berry as Catwoman!? They're gonna screw up catwoman for everyone.

They made her half naked!? At least they bleached her skin white, like in the comic.

I'm not keen on this outfit. The swimming cap is too high off her head, and she does not look good.

The story isn't even reminiscent of the one they had in Batman Returns. And yes, the costume looks like total shyte.

I mean what the hell is that on her head?!!

I think the shirt is bad, and the pants, it's not catwoman like.

I just read the story, that's not the catwoman I know. The catwoman I know is in love with batman.
